Culica Creativity

Creativity is what the Culica is all about.

Playing Culica, either playing single-player solo games or playing multi-player games, or just making patterns, is highly creative. Because the Culica is a real object, and pegs that go into it are also real, there is a tactile, three dimensional element that really lends itself to creativity.

Culica creativity can be in several forms:

Gaming creativity

Gaming Creativity is about coming up with creative strategies and tactics to win against other players or to solve puzzles.

Visual creativity

Visual creativity is about making shapes and patterns that are pleasing artistically.

 

Constructional creativity

Constructional creativity is about joining Culicas to create larger objects. Culicas fasten together with pegs. This allows new ways to play existing games, or even make new games possible.

Invention Creativity

Invention creativity is about creating new games that can be played on the Culica, or modifying existing games to make new variations.

Lateral Thinking Creativity

 Culica can be played in ways we haven't even thought of. Once we saw people competing to see who could make the tallest towers out of the pegs!
