Culica Innovation
In January 2011, we at Culica® attended the London Toy Fair. We are, at time of writing, outsiders to the toy industry, so the fair was a new experience. We believe this outsider status puts Culica as a commercial enterprise in a strategically advantageous position, as we have quickly accomplished feats that might otherwise be considered almost impossible by those with insider knowledge. We are relatively free of industry assumptions and financial pressures too, we do what we do because we are passionate about it, and are relatively free from short term financial pressures to achieve profits. We work fast because we are keen to get the Culica out there. From this perspective the Toy Fair was a novelty. The show was great fun, and the toys and games were fantastic. However, the show reinforced a crucial point that our research on the industry has indicated. The Toy Industry is hampered due to want of innovation.
At Culica we are pleased to step forward and satisfy that craving!

Looking at the products in the show, although they were great, there was nothing stunning in the sense of novelty. With hard-to-find exceptions, the toys on show were the same toys being sold a decade ago, give or take a few tweaks. Incremental improvements are great, but there has to be a balance between risk taking and conservatism if the industry is to thrive, and that balance seems to be missing. At Culica we are out to do no less than create a toy industry revolution!
We are out to distrupt things, shake things up, raise a lot of dust!
This may sound like hyperbole, over-confidence, from perhaps naive industry outsiders 
. But we believe it is irrefutable that Culica is the most inventive game of recent years. We have an amazing product that offers something genuinely new - and radically different. Our unique selling point is that we have a unique selling point! In fact we have many.
Our game, the Culica was the most fascinating by far at the show due to its being unique on at least two levels.
Level One - Culica Hardware
The hardware is new. No one has made a game like this before! Don't be deceived by the simplicity - there are actually a lot of elements that come together here. The geometry of the Culica, how many pegs may go in the sides, choice of colours and so on.
Separately these factors mean nothing. But combined they produce an irresistable combination. Just looking at the Culica is enough to excite! You know it's good even without playing it. (Word to the wise - playing it is even better!)
So innovation Level One is the marvelous hardware, the physical game itself.
Some Culica games can be played with two or three colours. Most games are played with four colours.

Level Two - Culica Games Rules
Layered on the foundation of innovation Level One is Level Two innovation. This comprises two main attributes.
- You can play different games on the Culica
- These games are single-player and multi-player
The first point is critical - at Culica we have invented games rules for the Culia and those games are ingenious. They are creative, unique and extremely fun - addictive in fact.
The second point is that the Culica is so versatile, as are the games that are invented for it, that you can play alone or compete with others. Culica games can be played by 1 to up to 12 players. Not many non-computer based games are this flexible and versatile. The only example I can think of is playing cards.
By now we hope you will agree, that in a world devoid of innovation, the Culica shines like a supernova! But to really understand the inventiveness of the Culica you have to play it! Our aim was to make a fun, fascinating versatile game that we love to play. The inventiveness was a side effect, or a consequence of our having fun doing what we enjoy!

Optionally, Culicas can even be joined together in many ways, using pegs.
Joining two or more Culica's together, an opotional way of playing Culica, provides yet another dimension to infinite game play.
